Corrosion Engineer
We are looking for a knowledgeable and hands-on Corrosion Engineer to join the engineering team supporting offshore platform projects. In this role, you will be responsible for safeguarding critical piping systems by developing corrosion mitigation strategies and preparing technical specifications. Your input will directly impact the design, performance, and long-term integrity of offshore installations.
You will develop and execute corrosion management plans, perform risk-based inspections (RBI), assess materials and corrosion threats, and advise on coatings and cathodic protection systems.
A key part of your role will be writing high-quality specifications and inspection procedures in collaboration with mechanical, process, structural, and E&I engineering teams. These include corrosion protection specifications, cathodic protection design, material selection, inspection & test plans (ITPs), and failure analysis approaches.
All activities will be carried out in compliance with relevant offshore standards such as ISO 12944, NORSOK, DNV, ASTM and NACE (AMPP).
Your Profile
Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience with corrosion engineering in offshore or marine environments, specifically in piping systems
Solid understanding of corrosion mechanisms, coatings, cathodic protection, and material degradation
Skilled in preparing engineering specifications and inspection documentation
Familiarity with international standards for offshore materials and corrosion protection
Able to communicate effectively and collaborate across engineering disciplines
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
If you are passionate about protecting offshore assets and thrive in multidisciplinary environments, we would love to hear from you. This is a long-term opportunity to work on technically challenging and meaningful energy projects.
