About the role:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, attention to detail, and proficiency in Exact Online. As a Junior Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting tax compliance while contributing to the smooth operation of our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting :

o Process financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments in Exact Online.

o Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

o Maintain and organize financial records in accordance with Dutch regulations.

Accounts Payable

o Monitor and manage accounts payable to ensure timely payments 

Financial Reporting :

o Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management 

Tax Compliance :

o Collaboarte with the 3 rd party company for preparing VAT returns and other tax filings, ensuring compliance with Dutch tax regulations.

o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax rules and regulations.

Process Improvement :

o Help optimize accounting processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the use of Exact Online

o Collaborate with team to improve financial workflows.

Requirements:

Education :

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience :

o At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance.

o Prior experience using  Exact Online is required.

o Experience with Dutch tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax) is a plus.

Skills :

o Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

o Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced knowledge preferred).

o Excellent organizational and communication skills.

o Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
