The company:

My client is a fast-growing, dynamic renewable energy company with a strong presence in the Netherlands. Backed by prominent investors, they focus on developing and delivering utility-scale solar projects, covering both Greenfield development and the acquisition of semi-developed projects. As they expand their team, they are looking for a Senior Project Developer to play a key role in their ambitious growth strategy and solidify their position as a leading player in the European solar market.

The role:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of solar project development, from early-stage site identification through to ready-to-build status.
• Take ownership of land acquisition, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and financial feasibility assessments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with municipalities, regulatory bodies, and landowners to secure permits and approvals.
• Work closely with grid operators to assess grid capacity and cable routing feasibility.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including financial engineers and legal counsel, to ensure project viability and success.
• Manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

The person:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in solar project development.
• Strong expertise in permitting, stakeholder management, and regulatory processes in the Netherlands.
• Dynamic, proactive, and able to navigate complex political and regulatory environments.
• Fluent in English and Dutch
