Location: The Netherlands
Full time | Hybrid
The company is focused on consolidating its global entities, and they are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Accounting to join their team.
Lead the accounting function for the organisation, ensuring compliance and consistency across global operations.
Oversee and manage the preparation of accurate financial statements, reporting, and analysis.
Provide leadership and strategic oversight to the accounting team in the Netherlands and globally.
Develop and implement accounting processes and policies that align with international standards.
Partner closely with senior leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations during this transition period.
Collaborate with tax, legal, and finance teams to optimise accounting strategies for potential M&A activity or exit plans.
Ensure regulatory and financial reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with business objectives.
Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance leadership role, preferably in a global organisation.
Strong background in international accounting standards and experience managing global entities.
A deep understanding of financial consolidation and reporting processes.
Experience with M&A activities or preparing a company for an exit is highly desirable.
Strong leadership and team management experience with the ability to drive change.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior executives and external stakeholders.
