Team Lead – Azure Cloud

Looking for your next challenge in cloud leadership? I’m hiring for a Team Lead – Azure Cloud to join a high-trust, high-impact environment right in the middle of a large-scale Azure transformation.
The setup? A solid team of six (mix of ops, infra, dev, DB, architecture), a business that’s highly regulated (so compliance is key), and a clear roadmap that needs someone to help steer the ship technically and culturally. If you’re equally at home writing infrastructure-as-code and mentoring engineers, this might be the one.
The Role:
It’s a 50/50 split between leadership and engineering, hands-on enough to stay sharp, strategic enough to shape the direction. You’ll be driving a multi-phase Azure migration, with a team that knows what they’re doing but needs someone to bring cohesion, clarity, and momentum.
The migration has already started and runs through to the end of Q3/Q4. It includes:
# Rehosting APIs into Azure-native services (already underway)
# Lifting and shifting workloads from on-prem
# Moving everything in-house on Azure, ending the current third-party cloud contract
# Building out a proper internal platform for dev tools, governance, and scalability
You'll have space to own this and bring structure, but it’s not a greenfield environment—there are guardrails and audits, so you’ll need to be comfortable working with a bit less flexibility in tooling and process than a typical scale-up.
What you’ll bring:
Strong technical leadership in Azure cloud environments
Background in engineering (infra, ops, automation, IAC, etc.)
Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy sectors (finance, health, insurance, etc.)
Calm, clear communicator—able to align teams and stakeholders without the drama
Comfortable in a hybrid setup (3 days in-office, 2 remote)
Bonus: experience working with multinational teams
Monies:
&##128176; €7,000 – €8,000/month (€103K–€105K annually)
&##128197; Contract: 7 or 12 months (happy to advise on what works best)
&##127757; Multinational team – no Dutch required, but being in NL is
If this one sounds like a good match, or close to it, drop me a message. Happy to share more about the team, roadmap, and setup.
