Role Overview: As Assistant Group Controller , you will report directly to the Global Head of Finance, acting as a strategic partner and driving financial performance across the organisation. You will work across various finance functions, handling complexity while maintaining a big-picture focus, and collaborating with senior stakeholders, including the CEO. The right candidate will need to balance working independently with functional leadership—driving results both personally and through others. This includes the ability to navigate through the different maturity levels of local controlling and accounting across diverse ERPs. Your role will also extend beyond accounting and variance analysis, requiring a deep understanding of the business model and how to leverage financial insights for strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Strategy: Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving improvements in financial reporting. M&A Reporting & Transaction Support: Provide insightful M&A reporting, supporting transaction activity, and helping to drive financial performance. Stakeholder Management: Prepare and deliver presentations to investors and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication of financial insights and recommendations. Business Insights & Modeling: Develop advanced financial models to analyse cashflow, working capital, and business performance, contributing to strategic business decisions. Functional Leadership: Drive results independently and through others, balancing day-to-day operational tasks with strategic leadership. The Ideal Candidate: Experience: A background in FP&A or business controlling, ideally with experience in a multinational environment or consulting (e.g., Big 4). Skills: Strong financial modeling, analysis, and M&A reporting capabilities. Proven experience presenting at senior levels with excellent communication skills. Mindset: Smart, resilient, and adaptable, with a hands-on approach to tackling both detailed tasks and high-level strategic conversations. You should be comfortable working at all levels, from the ground up on Monday to presenting to the CEO on Tuesday. Work Ethic: Proactive and flexible, with the ability to handle complexity and drive results through self and others.
