ENGINEER (H/F)


Are you a skilled Materials Engineer with expertise in coating, insulation, fireproofing systems, and corrosion protection? Are you looking to apply your knowledge to large-scale offshore projects and ensure asset integrity through innovative protection systems? If so, this role is for you! As a Coating Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and ensuring compliance of coatings, insulation, and fireproofing systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project specifications, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. Tasks & responsibilities: Design & Implementation Design, implement, and test coating, insulation, and fireproofing systems according to the company's standards, client requirements, and international regulations. Develop engineering specifications, application procedures, technical notes, and testing plans. Technical Coordination & Collaboration Guide package engineers, supply chain, inspection teams, and other disciplines (piping, mechanical, structural, process) on coating, lining, insulation, and fireproofing matters. Work closely with shipyards and fabrication yards to coordinate coating, insulation, personnel protection, and fireproofing scopes. Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure all deliverables from suppliers and manufacturers comply with the company's specifications, international standards, codes, and regulations. Assess coating and lining procedures produced by suppliers and subcontractors, including quality plans and inspection test plans (ITPs). Validate that coating and lining systems adhere to applicable project specifications and standards. Continuous Improvement & Reporting Record improvements and opportunities throughout the project and submit them to the Designated Lead Engineer (DLE). Recommend actions to prevent, address, or mitigate deviations or issues in processes and systems. Support continuous improvement implementation by providing insights and feedback. Standards & Compliance Ensure compliance with Group Technical Standards and GEMS processes; raise comments and deviations as necessary. Collaborate with third parties to review materials, processes and ensure adherence to project requirements. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field. Proven experience in coating, insulation, fireproofing systems, and corrosion protection within the offshore or energy industry. Understanding of coating procedures, application processes, inspection test plans (ITPs), and related standards. Familiarity with international rules, codes, and standards for coating, lining, and fireproofing systems. Ability to ensure adherence to Group Technical Standards, GEMS processes, and project specifications. Strong communication and reporting skills to ensure clear guidance and feedback. Knowledge of relevant software tools and engineering applications used for coating, insulation, and fireproofing tasks.
