The Opportunity

The (Senior) HR Advisor is a key member of the organization and responsible for overseeing and managing several aspects of the human resources function. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the organization's objectives. The HR Advisor serves as a operational and tactical partner, providing guidance on HR best practices and employee relations.

Your Responsibilities

Policy Development and Implementation

  • Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations across Europe (Netherlands, UK, Norway, Germany, Greece).
  • Ensure consistent application and adherence to policies across all departments.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and keep abreast of changes in legislation and update policies accordingly.

Employee Relations – Together with Finance & HR Bridgehead

  • Handle, employee relations issues, conducting investigations and resolving conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees and managers in addressing performance-related matters.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive organizational culture.
  • Long Term sickness management.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs.
  • Support employees in career development and skill enhancement initiatives.

Performance Management

  • Implement and oversee performance appraisal processes.
  • Provide guidance to managers on setting performance expectations and goals.
  • Address performance issues through coaching, counselling, and disciplinary actions.

Compensation and Benefits Administration

  • Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct periodic salary reviews and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay structures.

Talent Management and Recruitment

  • Support hiring managers with their recruitment processes.
  • Engage with external recruitment support when required.
  • Become a sparring partner for Talent Management and support with implementation of Talent Strategies.

Administration

  • Support Finance & HR Bridgehead with general HR administrative tasks. Payroll support and approval, sickness registration, employee lifecycle management.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree and HR certifications are a plus).
  • 3-5+ years of progressive HR management experience, ideally, in an international environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational and tactical HR planning and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Ideally experience with employment laws in additional EU countries (Norway, Germany, Greece, UK).
  • Prior payroll experience ideally with a 3rd party payroll support (ADP, Streamline).
  • Experience with Wet Verbetering Poortwachter – Long Term Sick leave.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
