Our client is looking for a Project Engineer Structural to join their team and contribute to the pinnacle of global yacht construction. As a Structural Project Engineer, you will be a key player in multidisciplinary project teams. Developing the main structural plan and global structural designs at the early stages of projects.
Maintaining an overview of the broader project goals while managing intricate details.
Coordinating with shipyards, owner teams, classification societies, and suppliers.
Using modern 3D CAD systems to process accurate information and specifications.
Overseeing quality control, ensuring deliverables meet planning, budget, quality, and specification standards.
Assessing design feasibility and monitoring detailed engineering and hull construction processes.
With a positive and creative mindset, you will excel at planning and organizing, working collaboratively with your team under the guidance of the Team Leader for your discipline.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, with bachelor (NQF6+) work and thinking level.
Over five years of managerial experience in shipbuilding engineering, including several years as a Structural Engineer.
Proficiency in modern 3D CAD, PLM, and/or FEM applications (experience with Siemens NX is a plus).
Expertise in ship design, preferably in passenger ships over 50 meters, safety standards, regulations (e.g., LR, REG LY code, SOLAS), FEM, and vibration analysis.
A results-driven and quality-oriented approach with strong conceptual thinking abilities.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
