We are currently seeking a Designer Mechanics to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering innovative mechanical designs for cutting-edge technologies, ensuring systems meet exacting standards while remaining manufacturable and cost-effective.

What you’ll be doing as a Designer Mechanics:

  • Concept Development: Generate and develop innovative concepts and solutions for precision mechanical systems.
  • Requirement Translation: Collaborate with architects to translate specifications into mechanical designs, performing hand calculations and tolerance analyses.
  • Design Creation: Define critical dimensions and visualize designs in 3D, contributing to the product's overall development alongside multidisciplinary teams.
  • Cost and Manufacturability Optimization: Ensure designs align with Design for Excellence (DFX) principles, focusing on cost, manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to discuss manufacturability, component availability, and the use of vendor components.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Support and mentor engineers and junior designers, fostering growth and innovation within the team.

What you need to be successful as a Designer Mechanics:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanics.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing mechatronic and precision systems.
  • Knowledge of FEM, dynamics, flow/thermal analysis, or optics.
  • Creativity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver design solutions that balance multidisciplinary requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of DfX principles (cost, manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, etc.)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
