Senior Business Development Manager Netherlands


Job Purpose: To drive the implementation of the business development strategies across the Benelux region with particular focus on the northern part of the Netherlands. To originate, manage and close existing sales & new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities: In coordination with the local and international Sales, Business Development and Marketing organizations, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: To form close relationships with end users, consultants and specifiers in the IP Video Security Channel to promote the Hanwha brand, and to increase sales and demand for Hanwha security products. To achieve set objectives relating to all relevant sales and product quantity mix. This will involve the strategic and active analysis of market opportunities, as well as the ability to influence decision makers and ensuring sales growth. Strategic planning - Both short and medium term sales planning will be required on a regular basis following sales workshops, and liaising with the Hanwha Product Management team to share market information. This is to ensure the correct positioning of Hanwha products in the market. Recommendations on marketing plans and new/revised strategic direction will be discussed with the Country Manager. Areas of responsibility will include: End user consultations Consultants and specifiers Liaising with major System integrators at senior level Existing customer audit analysis Product and market segmentation, positioning and targeting Input of ideas towards marketing plans for new product launches and customer events Focus on product/channel/customer margin Accuracy of forecasting Achievement of all budgets and targets This is a regional role, therefore extensive travel across the whole territory (Benelux) is required. Requirements: A proven track record in a business development or sales role, achieving sales in a demanding environment. Extensive experience of CCTV and associated technologies, in particular presenting relevant solutions to end users and consultants/specifiers Must have a knowledge of the market, main channels and potential customers within the electronic security market. Previous experience working for a CCTV manufacturer would be beneficial, but not essential. Good understanding of new technologies, especially network video systems and their topology. Business or Technical Degree Level Education would be advantageous PC Literate - Intermediate & Advanced ‘Microsoft Office’ skills to include Excel A desire to make a positive impact on the market and brand recognition Ability to develop strong and lasting relationships with both internal company Directors / colleagues and key clients Ability to demonstrate independent thinking and good clear judgement Ability to demonstrate motivation of teams to achieve targets A team player – demonstrate success in team situations Logical and well organised with exceptional attention to detail Displays a pro-active approach and is a ‘solution finder’ Self motivated and able to work under own initiative Project Management, Product Planning, and strong communication skills required with the ability to present at board level to Blue Chip companies, and to communicate on all levels in a clear and concise manner Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines English Language essential plus at least the local European language, including Dutch
