Linux Engineer

The Role

As a Senior Linux Engineer, you’ll be a key player in building and maintaining the backbone of the high-performance trading and financial systems. You’ll work with a team of talented engineers to design scalable, secure, and robust Linux-based environments. This role offers a mix of hands-on engineering, strategic input, and the chance to influence tech direction in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, deploy, and manage Linux systems (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu) across production and development environments
• Optimize performance for low-latency, high-availability systems
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime in a 24/7 environment
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and secure environments
• Drive initiatives for infrastructure as code, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Linux system engineering/administration
• Strong expertise in scripting in Python is a must
• Experience in a HPC environment
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Financial services or low-latency system experience is a plus
• Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
