With precision and expertise, they navigate these responsibilities, ensuring seamless alignment with the company's overarching objectives and stringent compliance standards. Maintaining contacts with internal and external stakeholders, including other company offices, customers, insurance companies, (P&I Club) surveyors, principals, agents, stevedores, customs, terminals, captains’ room, lawyers, etc. Addressing all Bill of Lading (B/L) terms & conditions-related questions and other maritime law-related inquiries. Handling all general local law-related questions for the company’s Dutch entity and its global operations. Reviewing local contracts. Coordinating full idle cases: finding a solution for longstanding containers, either out of court or via legal proceedings. A Bachelor’s degree in Law (WO level) is required; a Master’s degree in Maritime or Commercial Law is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years of experience in claims handling within the maritime sector (either in-house or at a law firm). Strong operational and commercial understanding. Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch language proficiency is a plus. Must be based in the Netherlands.
