Work Planner/Field Manager Foam Transition (PFAS)
Due to the significant expansion of our activities, we are urgently looking for a work planner/contractor to strengthen our team. Specifically, it concerns projects related to the foam transition, the replacement of PFAS-containing firefighting foam with PFAS-free foam. Part of that transition is the cleaning of the extinguishing systems at often large industrial sites and the removal and processing of PFAS-containing waste. In addition, soil contamination may also have occurred, so that the soil must be additionally examined and remediated. Knowledge of how things work on an industrial site, the safety issues that may arise and an understanding of the impact of the work on a company's primary process are essential in the foam transition.
As a Work Planner, you are responsible for thorough preparation and safe, sustainable and efficient execution of the projects. Preferably, you are also skilled in the field of cost calculations. You map out the workplace, draw up the plan of action, arrange the right equipment and ensure that we get the necessary permissions to carry out the work. You will also lead the execution of the work, ensuring that the plan is properly executed, that there is an adequate response to situations and that there is good and safe cooperation with the parties involved.
Within Arcadis, you will work in the Integrated Assets Service (IAS) team together with colleagues who work on industrial cleaning and demolition of the NAM infrastructure for gas extraction or on multidisciplinary civil projects. If necessary, you will work with them on similar projects.
