By supplying ships with green electricity while docked, we reduce CO₂, nitrogen, and particulate matter emissions, improving air quality in and around Rotterdam. As a Project Engineer Shore Power, you will play a key role in large-scale projects across various stages of development and realization. Overseeing the entire engineering process, from concept selection to detailed design, construction, and commissioning support, ensures a smooth and efficient execution. Acting as the technology holder within projects, the focus lies on meeting all requirements, including safety and quality. Managing both internal and external engineers and specialists, as well as safeguarding technical interfaces, keeps the project on track. In addition to guiding technical execution, involvement in selecting the right technologies and suppliers ensures that agreed commitments are met. You want to become the technical lead in the project team and work together with all team members to deliver the projects. In doing so, you are proactive in helping to accelerate the energy transition, while you make sure that quality and safety requirements are met. In addition, you hold the following qualities: ~ Master degree or equivalent level of education in electrical engineering or equivalent discipline; ~5 years of work experience as a discipline or project engineer in complex engineering projects, for instance as electrical engineer or technical consultant in industry or power; ~ Define technical concepts and make technology selections; ~ Manage the engineering process from conceptual design towards detailed engineering, being responsible for coordinating all disciplines. For this you will work together and manage internal and external specialists and engineers; ~ Manage the delivery and reviewing of all engineering documents required; ~ Support in creating the cost estimates and technical inputs for the business case and permit applications; ~ Prepare specifications for assignments for technical consultants, engineering firms, contractors and suppliers and evaluate proposals; ~ Coordinate the quality assurance and quality control throughout the engineering and construction phases.
